HART Hub coming to Belleville

Many representatives of local mental health and addictions and emergency services were on hand Monday to witness a big announcement from the provincial government. Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp officially announced a total of $529 million to create a total of 27 HART (Homelessness Addiction Recovery Treatment) hubs, including one in Belleville. $6.3 million per year in funding will be put into the local facility on 1 Alhambra Square over a three-year period for operation. Proposed services to be offered at Belleville’s HART Hub include; primary and emergency care, mental health and addictions services, rapid access to addictions medicine...
