Greater Napanee firefighter earns provincial medal for bravery

A Quinte firefighter was one of 5 individuals or groups that received the 2023 Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery recently. Mackenzie Grosvenor of the Greater Napanee Fire Department earned the honour for saving a life last fall. On October 28th, a vehicle caught fire after a crash in Amherstview -- a crash that occurred in front of a house where Grosvenor was visiting while off-duty. Grosvenor rushed outside to rescue the severely injured driver and then remained at the scene until medical assistance arrived.
