Police mediate tenant dispute after damage to vehicle

Belleville Police responded on Tuesday around 6:00 a.m. to a report of mischief to a vehicle at a Sidney Street address. A male had allegedly smashed out a car window and broke one of the side mirrors. Officers learned that there had been a dispute between tenants over a parking spot that resulted in damage to the vehicle. Police remained at the scene and mediated the dispute -- the person responsible for the damage apologized and paid for the damages in lieu of charges....
