Belleville woman faces charges on warrants after police respond to shoplifting incident

Belleville Police were called to a Bell Boulevard business on Monday before 7:30 p.m. A loss prevention officer had arrested a female suspect for theft -- officers also learned that the suspect was wanted on two unendorsed arrest warrants for various offences including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. In addition to receiving a trespass notice, 57-year-old Lori Betts of Belleville was held for a bail hearing on the strength of the warrants....
