A local storefront is being assessed following a vehicle crash in Campbell River. According to Campbell River Fire Rescue fire chief Dan Verdun, they received a report of the incident at 12:00 p.m., where a driver of a small van lost control of his vehicle, leading to him crashing into a storefront on 11th Avenue. Verdun says despite the crash, both the driver and a person who stood inside the storefront before the crash only suffered minor injuries. “Both of them were treated by ambulance on-scene and released on-scene, so nobody had to take a trip to the hospital,” said Verdun. He says the firefighters worked with the property owner, and arranged for a structural engineer to come and determine if the building is safe to occupy. More updates will come as soon as they are available. The post Storefront currently assessed following vehicle crash appeared first on My Campbell River Now.
