Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services demonstration in Stirling

There will be a demonstration by the paramedics of the Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services on Monday, June 24th, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm at the new paramedic base in Stirling, 2430 Stirling-Marmora Rd.  The paramedics are currently bargaining negotiations with their employer, Hastings County. However, they have reached an impasse.  The demonstration is being held to bring attention to the working conditions of paramedics including wages, short staffing and heavy workloads. These working conditions and issues directly affect public safety and the proper staffing of paramedics in ambulances. They will meet at the Legion and walk to the picket location.
