BPS issue warrant for assault for man taken to hospital Tuesday night

A Belleville man is expected to be charged with assault after a trip to the hospital on Tuesday.  A Belleville Police officer on patrol found the 35-year-old in distress with no clothing on in the area of Keegan Parkway around 9:15 p.m.  Paramedics attended and took the man to hospital, but in the ambulance the man became assaultive -- reportedly trying to punch the paramedic and spitting on them. This behaviour continued while the man was in hospital -- he was sedated and remained in the care of hospital staff.  Police will be requesting a warrant for the man for...
