Belleville man faces charges after pedestrian is sent to hospital

Belleville Police were called to a parking lot on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road on Saturday around 12:30 a.m. regarding a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. At the scene, officers found a 23-year-old man suffering trauma as a result of being struck -- the male was taken to Kingston General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle returned to the scene shortly after police arrived -- an investigation resulted in 24-year-old Raminder Singh Padda of Belleville facing charges of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and failing to stop at an accident causing bodily harm when he appears in court...
