Sudden death reported at Sandbanks Provincial Park

Emergency services personnel in Prince Edward County dealt with tragedy at Sandbanks Provincial Park on the weekend. Prince Edward OPP stated officers received a report of an unresponsive person located in the water at Outlet Beach around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. A 66-year-old woman was taken to hospital by paramedics, and was later pronounced deceased. Police say the investigation is continuing, and a postmortem has been scheduled to determine a cause of death.
