QW OPP investigating serious crash near County Road 40

An investigation is ongoing to into a serious crash that sent at least one person to hospital late Tuesday afternoon and closed a section of road for several hours. Quinte West OPP responded to a two-vehicle crash just after 4:00 p.m. that resulted in the closure of County Road 28/41 between County Road 40 and County Road 26, northwest of Trenton. One person was transported by Air Ornge with serious injuries, while other individuals were transported to hospital by Hastings Quinte Paramedics as a precaution.
