The Manna Food Bank is preparing to move to its new location at 227 Wellington St. in Bracebridge. The not-for-profit's first day of operation will be Friday., Aug. 30. "Not only is it on the town bus route and within walking distance, but this new property will also offer much more space for Manna to better serve its clients and afford them a more personal shopping experience," says Neil Somerville, director of the Manna Food Bank. He explains that over the few weeks, volunteers will be moving from Manna's current location on Ecclestone Dr. to the new building. "Manna welcomes any other volunteers with skills that can help expedite the renovation of the new food bank site," adds Somerville. He asks anyone open to helping to call 705-646-0114. Manna announced the move in Feb. 2024 after they couldn't agree to a new lease at the food bank's former building.
