Belleville Police seeking public’s help on investigation into home invasion

An investigation is underway into a reported home invasion in the wee hours of Monday morning. Belleville Police stated officers and Hastings Quinte paramedics had responded to a residence on Russell Street where unknown suspects forced their way in and assaulted two people who were inside just after 2 a.m. Both victims were from Belleville, with one, a 61-year old man, taken to Belleville General Hospital and then later to Kingston General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other, a 59-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. Belleville Police encourage anyone with information or video that can help identify the suspects to contact the BPS tips email...
