Quebec man faces stunt driving and drug charge after stop on 401 by Belleville

Lennox and Addington (L&A) OPP officers have charged a driver from Quebec with multiple offences following an incident over the weekend on the 401 near Belleville. On August 10, 2024, just after 11:00 p.m., an officer was patrolling on Highway 401 westbound near Belleville, when they observed a vehicle approaching from the rear at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
