Not long after qualifying for the Paralympics, Jibb spoke with the MyMuskokaNow.com newsroom and said she may take part in a fifth race if she's chosen for Canada's relay squad. The Town of Bracebridge has draped a banner wishing Jibb luck at the Paralympics across the Silver Bridge. Also, in early June, the Bracebridge Falls were illuminated in violet as part of the nation-wide "IGNITE the Lights Across Canada" campaign. Jibb has trained with the Muskoka Aquatic Club since she started swimming. After suffering a stroke just before her sixth birthday, she explained she and her parents decided swimming was the best way her to rehabilitate. The Paralympics are being held in Paris, France. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST on Aug. 28. The post Bracebridge swimmer competing in four events at Paralympics appeared first on My Muskoka Now.
