Damage caused to park facilities in Frontenac area

Damages expected to cost several thousand dollars were caused at the Gilmour Point beach facilities this week in Battersea. Frontenac Detachment members attended the Gilmour Point beach, located at 1763 Wellington Street in Battersea, just after 6:30 pm on August 29, 2024. Assisted by the South Frontenac Township Fire Service, a trash can was set on fire and major damages to the washroom facilities discovered, including smashed toilets and broken plumbing.
