Arrest made after firefighters nearly struck by vehicle in Belleville

An Ottawa man has been arrested following a dangerous driving investigation which began after a number of firefighters were almost struck by a vehicle over the long weekend in Belleville. On Monday, September 2, 2024, shortly after 5:30 p.m., Leeds County OPP officers were requested to assist Belleville Police Service and Quinte West OPP in locating and arresting a dangerous driver who was reported to have nearly struck firefighters in Belleville.
