Belleville Police Service honours the past with retirement badge presentation

Nearly six decades later, a former Belleville Police officer has finally received his biggest momento. Constable Ian McColl was presented with his retirement badge at a BPS board meeting on Thursday after leaving the force in 1966 for a career at Ontario Hydro Security. He started his career as an 18-year-old in 1956, three years before he was legally allowed to purchase alcohol at the time, Acting Chief Chris Barry noted.
