UPDATE: one fatality confirmed in crash on eastbound 401 near Napanee

Officers with Lennox and Addington OPP are investigating a fatal crash on Wednesday on Highway 401 eastbound near Palace Road. On July 24, 2024, just after 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles and a transport truck (just east of Palace Road). An occupant of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three others were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No name has been released. OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation which is ongoing at this time.
