UPDATE: one fatality confirmed in crash on eastbound 401 near Napanee

Officers with Lennox and Addington OPP are investigating a fatal crash on Wednesday on Highway 401 eastbound near Palace Road. On July 24, 2024, just after 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles and a transport truck (just east of Palace Road). An occupant of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three others were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No name has been released. OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation which is ongoing at this time. The eastbound 401 remains closed at Palace Road, with traffic re-entering the eastbound...
