Hezbollah Says 2 Members Killed in Israeli Strike

Lebanon's Hezbollah movement said an Israeli airstrike on Sunday killed two members of the Iran-backed group, and Lebanon's Health Ministry reported another death in a strike a few days ago. Hezbollah has been engaged in near-daily exchanges of fire with Israel in support of its ally Hamas since the Palestinian militant group's terror attack on Israel on October 7, which sparked the war in Gaza. Tensions have risen since an attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut late last month that killed Hezbollah's top military commander, Fuad Shukr, just hours before the assassination, blamed on Israel, of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. “The Israeli attack targeting the village of Taybeh today left two people dead,” Lebanon’s health ministry said in a statement. Hezbollah confirmed that it was its members who were killed in Taybeh near the border with Israel. The government's National News Agency reported that “a drone fired two missiles at the village of Taybeh.” The Israeli military said it had “striked throughout the day several Hezbollah military structures in the Adaisseh area,” which is next to Taybeh. In another statement on Sunday, the military said its forces had “attacked Hezbollah terrorist cells in the Taybeh region” …
