President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, through a presidential decree, Friday (30/8), dismissed Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk. The dismissal was announced just a day after the Ukrainian military reported that an F-16 jet crashed and its pilot was killed while repelling a major Russian attack on Monday. “I have decided to replace the commander of the Air Force… I am very grateful to all our military pilots,” Zelenskyy said in his evening speech.
