Incremental funding coming to Hastings County agencies

More incremental funding could be coming to Hastings County through the federal government. The Community and Human Services Committee recommended County Council approve the funding allocations under Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy on Wednesday at its monthly meeting. The county is to receive $191,058 for the current fiscal year and the next, plus $798,513 for the two successive fiscal years. The funding will help eight local agencies, including the John Howard Society, who is recommended to be allocated $162,399 for 2024-2025 and $162,399 for 2025-2026; The committee also recommended that the Reaching Home 2023-2024 carry forward balance of $247,368 be allocated to the John Howard...
