You can check out some skydiving this summer, as the SkyHawks are set to perform in Campbell River. The city says the SkyHawks are the country’s only military parachute demonstration team, made up of 13 members from the army, royal navy, and the royal air force. Every year they perform a sky diving showcase, with 4 members working on their ground crew this year. This includes an imagery technician, public affairs officer and narrator, an administrative officer, and a drop zone controller. They say the SkyHawks will not only perform maneuvers during the show, but will also be available to chat, sign autographs, and talk to the public about parachutes and gear. The event will take place at Willow Point Park on Alder Street, starting at 12:30 pm on July 15. The post SkyHawks to perform in Campbell River this July appeared first on My Campbell River Now.
