Speeding and suspended driver, car and e-bike collision Tuesday in Belleville

A driver observed speeding in a Belleville Community Safety Zone faces charges. Officers on patrol in the zone at Palmer Road noticed a vehicle traveling at a reported 73 km/h over the posted 40 zone after 10 a.m. on Monday. After stopping the vehicle and starting an investigation, police stated the driver had been traveling with a suspended license. A 56-year-old Belleville woman ended up being charged with speeding and driving while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.
